Below is the ECU Joondalup SC covid-19 Update

Until 12.01am Saturday, 8 May 2021, the following restrictions apply at the Joondalup and Mount Lawley Campuses, and any ECU facilities in the Perth and Peel regions:

• Masks must be worn indoors
• Masks must be worn outdoors where physical distancing is not possible;
• 2 square metre capacity rule remains in place for ECU venues.

Masks are mandatory while indoors for visitors, students and staff in higher education, including TAFEs and universities. Fitness instructors, coaches and the alike must comply with wearing masks and are not permitted to remove their masks when indoors.

For the full list of restrictions, visit the WA Government website.

Whilst we are pleased we will be able to re-open our centres, remember we are still within the 14-day incubation period for the virus and it is important to adhere to all WA Government COVID-19 restrictions.

Remember to stay COVID-safe and ensure you:

• Wear a mask when indoors;
• Wear a mask outdoors when physical distancing is not possible;
• Medical exceptions for mask wearing will be accepted whereby evidence can be supplied either in advance or when arriving on site;
• Maintain good personal hygiene, including frequent hand-washing;
• People should use common sense and take a mask with them whenever they leave home;
• If you were at a potential exposure location, are unwell or experience any symptoms, get tested and self-isolate/quarantine;
• Should you take a test, notify the University of your COVID-19 test and test result;
• Maintain physical distancing and observe space restrictions; and
• Observe all campus signage and directions regarding COVID-19 and use the SafeWA app.

Stay safe everyone – #PrideoftheNorth
