We head into full weekend of football at the ECU Campus, and last week there were some excellent performances and results across all teams.

Our NPLWA first team were narrowly beaten 0-1 at Dorrien Gardens against Perth SC, a game we dominated but we couldn’t find a goal. The 20s were also beaten 0-2 by Perth SC, while the 20s went down 0-4.

The first team bounced back on Wednesday by beating Bayswater City 2-0 in the FFA Cup, with goals from Dany Hodgson and Nelson Tshongo, his first goal for the club, to move them into the Semi-Finals, where they will play local rivals Sorrento.

This week the NPLWA senior sides host Cockburn city at the ECU Football Stadium, the 18s kick things off at 11.00am, the 20s at 1.00pm, and first team at 3.00pm.

Also last week our Women’s State League Division One side were beaten 3-5 by Mandurah City. Frankie Murray gave us the lead early and Talissa Hollis doubled our advantage on 22 minutes. It was 3-1 at the break with Tinette Van Niekerk added the third, but the visitors hit back after the break to secure the points, leaving the Jacks fourth on the table. The side is not in action this week, as their opponents South West Phoenix are in Cup action.

Our Amateur women’s side were beaten 0-3 by Hamersley Rovers last week, and will look to bounce back on Sunday when they travel to Wauhop Park to take on Fremantle City, 1.00pm kick off.

In other Womens program games – The 12s girls played against Ellenbrook United and coach Gareth Morgan said. “Difficult conditions and playing on the artificial pitch meant the girls struggled to get going, however they had a very strong second half which was pleasing.” This week’s scorers, Halle Snowden (3), and Erin James. This week’s home game against Whitford City has been called off.

The Masters North Division Three side produced a great performance to beat second placed Perth City 4-1 at Wanneroo Reserve, with goals from Peter Vukmirovic, Kevin Penn, Igor Arsovski and an own goal, the win moving them to seventh on the table. This week they host Perth Royals at the ECU Football Stadium, kick off 3.00pm

Our NPLWA junior sides took on Cockburn City in the White Division last week. The under 13s games was called off, but the 14s ran out convincing 12-0 winners with Teddy O’Shea scoring five, with Matthew Bowen, Onree De Silva scoring doubles, with others to Oliver Evans, Jacques Schreuder and Kosta Jovanovic.

The 15s ran out 5-2 winners, with Roland Ballah scoring a double, with others to Mason Parke, Rohan Patel and Yohannes Toto. The 16s also won, running out 8-0 winners, with Abdullah Ali and Archie Russell scoring doubles, with singles to Giovanni De Abreu, Taylor-Phoenix Wright, Xavier Medica and Myles Mari.
