COVID-19 UPDATE – ECU Joondalup Soccer Club

Posted on April 2, 2020 in 'News'

A message from ECU Joondalup Soccer Club Vice-President Steve Amphlett

It’s been two weeks since our club was closed down due to the on-going COVID-19 outbreak that is affecting the world, which saw the closure of all competitions, matches, training, programs, coaching clinics, trial and other activations at the Campus.

This was a decision that ECU Joondalup Soccer Club fully supported, and we continue to do so, and yesterday the Football Federation Australia and Football West update their advice to all clubs, and have extended the postponement all grassroots football in Australia to 31 May, 2020.

The COVID-19 is a virus we have never dealt with before and we need to maintain our self-distancing and wait for the outbreak to end, and it will, and once we are given the OK by the authorities we will kick start our season and it will be all systems go, and be assured there will be football in 2020.

In the meantime, stay safe, stay at home and take all the advice given to you by the authorities – We will get through this but we need to adhere to the rules and stay at home – Remember we are all in this together.
