ECU Joondalup began their pre-season campaign on Tuesday evening with a friendly against the Perth Glory NPL side at the ECU Football Stadium.

New signing Chris Harold started life at the campus well bagging a brace in the 2-4 defeat.

The game was an opportunity for Head Coach Kenny Lowe to give his players game time and he used 24 players on the night as the Jacks prepare for their opening NPLWA Night Series game against Gwelup Croatia on January 31 at Percy Doyle Reserve (5.00pm)

Lowe was happy with the workout. “It was our first hit out of the season and we were pleased with what we got out of it,” he explained.

“We have our first night series game in a couple of weeks so to give all our squad, and some of the younger players some game time is perfect moving forward.

“These games are important to get our new players involved and it also gives us the opportunity to work on a few things, so overall a pleasing workout.”
