ECU Joondalup SC First team players Luke Bodnar, Callum Timmins and Riley Warland have all accepted an opportunity at Perth Glory for the 2021 season.

Vice president Steve Amphlett thanked them all for their time at the club. “All three players were vital members of the Jacks NPLWA title winning side in 2020,” he said.

“So, on behalf of the club, it’s sponsors, members and supporters, I would like to thank them for their efforts in their time at the Campus and wish them all the best on their next challenge with Richard Garcia’s side.”

ECU Continues to have an abundance of young talent coming through their ranks and looking to impress Kenny sufficiently to get the call up to the first team.

Goalkeeper Joe Pollard continues his development and at 16 years of age, has already played NPLWA in 2020. The club are hoping he can emulate another former ECU Academy player Ashley Maynard Brewer, who is now number 2 at Charlton Athletic in the English Championship.

The club continues the development of players with Head Coach Kenny Lowe using young players as part of the first team squad. Tom Hough had an excellent season in midfield, Ben Hinshelwood has been around the First team for over two years and still only 17.

Younger players such as Luke Davis and Sonny O’Shea all trained with the first team squad last year and expect to feature again this year as their development continues.
