ECU Joondalup will go into the 2020 National Premier League WA season under the guidance of former Perth Glory Head Coach Kenny Lowe, after he joined the club as its Director of Football.

The signing coup was announced today by newly appointed President, Mark Donnelly, who said the club was ready to take its player development and team performance to an exciting new level.

“It’s a huge step forward for the club, and Kenny and I are both committed long term to making ECU Joondalup WA’s most successful National Premier Leagues team,” Mr Donnelly said.

Mr Donnelly said it’s not only the first and senior teams that will benefit from Lowe’s appointment, but also the junior and women’s teams.

“Kenny has a unique understanding of the results that can be achieved through a truly integrated football club model and we have an amazing opportunity to become the hotbed for Australia’s best football talent,” he said.

“With its climate, strong economic environment and growing support for football, Western Australia could and should be a national centre of excellence for the round ball game and we have the determination to make that happen.”

Lowe will take his first coaching session this afternoon (21 January 2020) at the ECU Football Stadium as the Jacks prepare for Saturday’s first NPLWA Night series game against Perth SC at Dorrien Gardens.
