ECU Joondalup will finish their 2020 NPLWA Night Series games on Saturday when they travel to Frank Drago Reserve to take on Bayswater City. (5pm)

Skipper Johnny Perkins said it’s another good test for them. “It will be a good chance to test ourselves against one of the favourites for the title,” he said.

“It’s also another chance for players to cement positions coming towards the pointy end of pre-season.”

The Jacks will be looking to end the competition with back-to-back wins after last week’s big win against Rockingham, and defender Billy Quinncroft said it was a good team performance.

“I thought we played really well last week as a team, everything we have been working on came together nicely,” he said.

“Everyone put in a good shift and played the way Kenny wanted. It was nice to see the team start to gel and start to understand their new roles.

“Kenny has come in and set the standard very high, everyone seems to be learning and improving their game under him, so the squad has reacted well.

“He has a brought professional attitude into the club so he knows where he wants to take the club and everyone is on board, so as a club we are looking forward to the new season.”

The defender said Saturday’s game is another opportunity to gel with the new season just around the corner.

“The game against Bayswater will be a good test to see where we at, I think if we play the way we did last Saturday I’m confident we will take the three points,” he said.

“But more important is it’s another 90 minutes for the team to gel for the upcoming season.”
