Jacks in NPLWA Night Series action on Saturday

The Jacks begin life under new Head Coach Kenny Lowe on Saturday when they take on Perth SC at Dorrien Gardens in round one of the NPLWA Night Series. (5.00pm)

Perth did the league and Top Four double last season and there has been some quality left the club but Ramon Falzon’s side will again be one of the favourites again this season. It will be a difficult first up game for the Jacks but keeper Johnny Perkins said they will be up for it.

“Perth SC always have a well organised team with good technical players, so no doubt they’ll be a good test,” he said.

“But we are focusing on us and what we want to do. We are all looking forward to getting out there on Saturday night and playing some competitive football after working hard in pre-season.”

Perkins said the players are looking forward to working with Lowe and the new coaching staff of David Butterfield and David Tough. “The appointment of Kenny is a massive addition for the club, and to be able to bring in someone with his pedigree and knowledge of the game,” he explained.

“Knowing that he has worked at the highest level, every player is looking to learn from him and Dave to improve individually. Obviously, we are only two session in to the new era but there is a buzz about the training ground.”
