There has been plenty of changes this season due to the covid19 outbreak, but nothing changes at the Campus, with 17 ECU Joondalup Soccer Club NPL Academy players selected in the Gold Fields WA Boys State Under 14s and Under 15s squads, following the recent trials.

Congratulations to Luca Iovene, Sonny Inzalaco, Cillian Purcell, Daniel Bennie, Ethan O’Sullivan, Oliver Leeming, Ryder Leasor, Lewis Moses, Taylor Wright and Jack Overy, who have been selected in the under 14’s.

While Darius Andres, Jacob Evans, Jay Patel, Josh Kingston, Sean O’Connor, Fletcher Ellerton and Fabiano De Abreu in the under 15’s

Although there are no National Youth Championships at Coffs Harbour this year due to covid19, all of the teams will play representative games.

The Boys State U15s will take on Perth Glory’s U16s (born 2005); the Boys State U14s will face Glory’s U15s (born 2006), details of the fixtures will be released nearer the time.

NPL Academy Technical Director Mark Scanlan said it’s a great achievement. “I think it shows the fantastic depth we have at the club and credit to the players, parents and coaches for all contributing to the environment we’ve got at the club,” he said.

“Almost all of the players selected for the state team squads have played at least one age group above their own so I’m not surprised to see we have so many being selected to play for WA. I actually think a couple more of our lads are unlucky to miss out.”

From everyone at the club congratulations  to all the players.
