Charity Fundraising game on Sunday

Posted on November 7, 2020 in 'News'

ECU Joondalup Soccer Club will be holding a charity fundraising game on Sunday (November 8), as we honour one of our own, Myles O’Neill, who is battling illness.

Myles has been a hard-working member of the club for a number of years, and we all call him an ECU Legend, and we will be doing all we can to raise money for Cancer Research.

His son Brandon will be in attendance to watch, before he heads back to Pohang Steelers in South Korea, in a game between an ECU Joondalup Select XI against Carramar Shamrock Rovers, kick off 2.00pm.

We urge all Jacks players, former players, supporters, parents, and all the WA football family to get behind this game.

Jacks Head Coach Kenny Lowe will be coaching the ECU side, and he might get his boots on again after a starring role in the charity game for Glory a few weeks ago.

It will be a family fun day and it would be great to get as many juniors at the game, and their will be plenty of food available, with sausage rolls, pies, cakes, sandwiches etc and any payment received by Gold coin donation will be added to the charity fund.

The Bar will be open and the club will make a donation from every drink sold on the day. The fundraising starts at 12.30pm – See you all there

Let’s all get behind this event, and show Myles what he means to the club – ‘The Pride of the North’
