It might only be early November, but ECU Joondalup have returned to pre-season, as Head Coach Dale McCulloch and his assistants David Tough and Steven McGarry put the players through a tough routine at Mullaloo beach.

This week the players will be put through a time trial, as preseason continues, as they look to hit the ground running in the 2018 PS4 NPLWA.

McCulloch said the players have come into training in good condition. “We’re really happy the way the lads have come back in good nick and will only get fitter, and we will be ready for a big season,” he said.

“We’ve brought in some players to add to the squad and they are looking sharp too, but at this stage it’s just about getting the fitness levels up and getting the new lads time to settle in to their new surroundings.”

McCulloch said the club have high ambitions and his coaching staff and players have too. “We went close in 2016, but last season injuries took their toll,” he said.

“But as a club, from the President, Coaches, players and all the support staff we are pushing in the same direction and we will be doing all we can to bring success to this club.”
