After a successful season between the sticks at ECU Joondalup, Lewis Italiano will fly out to tomorrow to catch up with teammates at the Wellington Phoenix in preparation for the up-coming Hyundai A-League season.

The 25-year-old produced some outstanding saves in his time at the club, and will meet up with the Phoenix in Townsville at the clubs pre-season camp, and Coach Dale McCulloch wished him all the best in his football career, and believes he will be ready for a breakout season at the Phoenix. “From everyone at ECU Joondalup Soccer Club we like to wish Lewis all the best in the upcoming Hyundai A-League season with Wellington Phoenix,” McCulloch said.

“Lewis has been in magnificent form in his time at our club and along with the rest of the back four has been outstanding on our run to the West Australian Top Four Cup.

“It would have been nice to have him for another week and play in the Grand Final, but it wasn’t to be and we wish him all the best in the rest of his football career.”

All the best Lewis and good luck next season and we hope you can get a spot in the Phoenix side on a regular basis, because you deserve it.
