ECU Joondalup face a difficult Westfield FFA Cup Fourth round tie when they host Division One side Dianella White Eagles at the ECU Football Stadium.

The draw was made on Monday morning and the Jacks were originally drawn to play at Dianella Reserve, but the game has been switched by Dianella, and will take place on Monday March 28 (Easter Monday) with a 3.00pm kick off.

Coach Dale McCulloch said it’s a tough draw, but they have league commitments against Armadale to worry about first.  “We have a very tough game against Armadale on Saturday, and that’s what we are focused on at the moment. We will sit down on Saturday evening, hopefully with three points in the bag and then we look at the Cup game, “he said.

“Yes the Cup is important for us, and a good cup run is good for us, so Dianella will be a tough test. They will have the advantage as they don’t have a game on Saturday, but it is what it is and we go there looking for a win.”

Dianella made it to this stage with a 4-2 win against Bunbury United in the third round. They are coached by former Bayswater City and Perth SC coach Mauro Marchione, and finished last season in fifth place in Division One.

The under 18’s and under 20’s are also in action on Monday in the opening round of the State League Cup. Both game will be played at the Hyundai Stadium in Mandurah. The under 18’s kick off a 10.30am against Division One side Ashfield, while the under 20’s meet host Mandurah City at 12.45pm.
