Burnley FC Academy Coach Lee Waddington visits the Jacks

ECU Joondalup would like to welcome Burnley Football Club Academy Coach Lee Waddington to the club, who will be holding training sessions and talking to players and Coaches over the next week.

Waddington is a highly skilled and qualified coach, strategist and team builder, and holds a UEFA ‘A’ license. He joined the Clarets in 2013, after a background of youth development at Manchester United, Blackburn Rovers and Manchester City. He has also worked around the world, including Australia, Canada, and across Europe.

ECU technical director of football Andy Petterson said its great have Waddington at the club and he will be overseeing the academy sessions, and hold training with both players and coaches.

“We have intra-club games on Sunday morning and Lee will be watching, and holding training sessions with the junior teams next week. It’s a great opportunity for us to have Lee at the club, and to pass on some of his coaching ideas to our coaches,” he said.

“We have a great tradition of improving junior player’s development, and we believe we have some of the best coaches in the state at our academy, and they will learn a great deal from working with Lee.”
