The ECU Joondalup SC academy continues to impress in 2015, here are the coaches comments for the games against Perth Glory and all the results from the season to date in the PS4 National Premier League WA.

 

Week 5

Under 12’s

ECU Joondalup 1 Perth Glory 0

The under 12’ run out 1-0 winners against Perth Glory. “It was good result for us, in what was always going to be a difficult fixture, coming off a four week break,” McLatchie said. “We started really well in the first ten minutes, but got a little rusty after that.” The goal scorer on the day was Seb Gomez but the coach had a special mention for Massimo Bresciano, who played well in a number of positions.

Rd 4 – Won 2-0 v Sorrento (A)

Brian McLatchie Under 12’s played the first of their catch up games last week against Sorrento at Percy Doyle Reserve, and beat top of the table Gulls 2-0 in the local derby. “It was a comfortable win for us, with goals from Daniel Faichney and Covey Smith, but I thought we should have been more,” McLatchie said. “It was much improved performance from the weekend, with the whole side contributing on the night.”

Under 13’s

ECU Joondalup 3 Perth Glory 2

The Under 13s had another end to end nail biter and ended up winning in last minute 3-2. “A fighting performance from the boys against a good Glory side,” Coach Charlie Comyn-Platt said. “Cody Binham scored twice and Dayan Bhudia scored a screamer.”

Under 14’s

ECU Joondalup 0 Perth Glory 1

Under 14s were very unlucky to get nothing from a 1-0 loss to Perth Glory. “This was their best performance of the season, the lads played fantastic football they created a number of chances only to be denied from an outstanding keeper at the other end,” Coach Willie Herd said.  “It was a top performance from the entire team, unlucky lads”

Under 15’s

ECU Joondalup v Perth Glory

Under 15s won 2-1. “We were very lucky not to be 3or 4 down the first half from a very well drilled Glory team and a very lack lust performance from our lads,” Coach Willie Herd said. “But after a few changes the team had a bit more spirit and started to create chances and inform Liam Owen scored the first with a very cool finish and 2nd goal was a thumping header from Corey Hyde happy with the three points but not the performance.”

Under 16’s

ECU Joondalup v Perth Glory

Under 16’s won 2-1. “A fantastic performance from the whole side, we rebounded well from our first defeat of the season at Sorrento,” Coach Steve Amphlett said. The goalscorers were Jacob Jones and Joe Middleton.
