ECU Joondalup Academy Results – Week 8

The ECU Joondalup Academy teams were in action against Stirling Lions in Week eight of the PS4 National Premier League WA last weekend. Here are the results and coaches comments on the games.


Under 12’s

ECU Under 12’s were outstanding and ran out 19-0 winners against Stirling Lions. The scorers on the day were: Covey Smith 5, Harry fletcher 3, Fraser Houghton 2, Lewis Tucker 2, Aiden Coyne 2, Spencer Patten 2, Daniel Faichney 2.

“It has been on the cards for a few weeks that once we got it right in final third someone was going to get a real hammering and unfortunately for Stirling it was them,” said Coach Brian McLatchie. “Special mention to Goal keeper Sam Riley, Seb Gomez, Massimo Bresciano and Blair McLatchie who never scored in the game.”


Under 13’s

The Under 13’s drew 0-0 with Stirling. “A tight game but we had the chances to win it but didn’t take them,” Coach Charlie Comyn-Platt said. Man of the Match – Taylor Thain


Under 14’s

The Under 14’s drew 0-0 against Stirling, and best on ground was Ben Gan

“Can’t believe this game finished 0-0,” Coach Willie Herd said. “We had so much possession and created lots of chances it was just one of those days.”


Under 15’s

Under 15’s drew 3-3 with Stirling, with goals from Luke Salmon Corey Hyde and Ollie Ford with Best on ground Ollie Ford

“Very strange game, we played all the football and were 2-0 up, then we scored two own goals to put them in front and finished a draw,” said Coach Willie Herd


Under 16’s

The under 16’s drew 2-2 with Stirling, with Jacob Jones bagging a brace.
