It’s Week 6 of the PS4 National Premier League WA and ECU Joondalup hit the road on Saturday to take on league leaders Floreat Athena at the E&D Litis Stadium (3.15pm).

Dale McCulloch’s side have a good record at the venue, and are unbeaten in their last three games, and defender Charlie Comyn-Platt believes they go their full of confidence. “Last week’s win against the Glory was a tough scrappy game, but they (Glory) are a fit and well organised side,” he said. “So it was a good win those sorts of game, it gives us confidence going forward, and Higgy’s free kick was quality too.”

“Saturday is going to be another tough test for us. Floreat have got off to a great start and Glen (Grostate) has them motivated. We have working hard in games and training this week has been up beat, and we go there looking for the three points.”

The home side will be without the suspended duo Lewis McMahon and Blair Govan, who were sent off in last week’s win against Subiaco AFC.

McCulloch has been delighted with his side this season, but he is looking for his side to be more ruthless in front of goal. “We have been creating some really good chances this season, but haven’t been able to convert them,” he said. “We have been working hard at training, and I’ll be looking for an improvement at Floreat.”

The coach is well aware of the start Floreat have had, but he said they will take the game to them. “The lads have been great this season; we’re gelling nicely and will be looking to keep our unbeaten run going,” he said. It will be a tough game but were looking forward to the challenge.”

The under 18’s kick off at 11.15am, the under 20’s at 1.15pm, with the first team at 2.15pm
