ECU Joondalup are on the road this weekend, when they travel to second placed Perth SC at Dorrien Gardens on Saturday (3pm)

ECU defender Charlie Comyn-Platt is looking forward to the game, and is expecting a tough encounter. “Last week’s win against Inglewood was great for us, we showed real character to come back from 2-1 down, and it was good to see us take our chances, which we haven’t been able to do in recent weeks,” he said.

“Perth is in very good form, and has a strong side, but we will certainly be up for the challenge, as we look to end the season on a high.”

Coach Dale McCulloch has got a full squad to choose, although Comyn-Platt is struggling with injury, but should take his spot in the side.

Perth is at full strength and Coach Taki Nicolaidis is looking to keep their good run of form going. “This weekend’s game will be a tough one for us ECU is coming off a good win against Inglewood United,” he said.

“Dale (McCulloch) is a very astute coach and will definitely have worked on a few things leading into the game. We obviously need to be at our best if we are to take the points.”

Perth has been the big improvers this season, under the tutelage of Nicolaidis. In between the sticks Francis Soale and Alex Dunn, while at the back they have Craig Simpson, Alex Castiello, James Marocchi and Josh Wilkins. In the middle of the park Mark Pritchard, Clarke Keltie and Mark Doninger run the show; on the flanks they have the speedy Friday Zico and Aden da Luz, while up front Ashley Rosindale continues to find the net on a regular basis.
