McCulloch cops a three week ban

ECU Joondalup Coach Dale McCulloch will be watching the next three games from the side lines, after he was sent off in the 1-1 draw against Balcatta last week.

The 32-year-old was left frustrated after the over efficient refereeing. “Football is a game of passion, and everyone who knows me knows I’m a passionate person, when it comes to my club and players,” he said.

“When things aren’t going your way or your players are getting a rough deal on the pitch, I’m going to stand up for them. Yes things were said, but these things happen in the heat of the moment, referee’s have to understand that.

“I can’t challenge the ban, which is unfortunate, but I’ll take my punishment but something has to done. A referee can say what they want to my players and to me but once I step over the line you are banned.”

McCulloch will start his touchline ban on Saturday when ECU entertain Inglewood United at the ECU Football Arena – Kick off 3pm
