ECU Joondalup meets Inglewood United in Week 18 of the National Premier League WA at the ECU Football arena on Saturday (3pm)

The visitors will have a new coach in charge, after Graham Normanton left the club on Thursday evening. A brief statement from the club said; “Graham has been an absolute professional at our club and we thank him for his contribution since joining Inglewood on the eve of the 2012 season,” said President Luke Martin. “We have the greatest respect for the commitment Graham made to Inglewood and we wish him all the best for the future. He will always be a friend of Inglewood United.”

Goran Stajic will be in charge of Inglewood on Saturday, and Dale McCulloch knows his side will be in for a tough game.  “Any club who replaces their coach always seems to lift for the next match, so we will need to be on our toes from the first whistle,” he said.

“Graham has been outstanding for the clubs he has coached in the Premier League and I’m sure he will be back sooner rather than later, and I wish him all the best in the future.”

McCulloch will be watching from the side lines this weekend after being hit with a three game touchline ban from Football West, but he believes they can end their four games run without a win. “We’ve been there or there about in recent weeks, and we should have taken all three points at Sorrento and Balcatta, and also had chances to take a share of the spoils against Bayswater,” he said.

“The lads have worked really hard on the track this week and we will be hoping to turn our chances into goals this week and get a much needed three points.”

In team news for ECU, Joe Smith, Jon Stynes and Jake Benson Cooper return to the squad, while Tommy Amphlett has recovered from injury to take his place in the squad. Andy Banks and Charlie Comyn-Platt also picked up injuries in the 1-1 draw at Balcatta, but should both be fit. While for Inglewood, Teeboy Kamara and David Sesay are both unavailable.
