ECU Joondalup will take on Balcatta at the ECU Football Arena in the quarter finals of the Cool Ridge Cup on Saturday May 10th, after the draw was made on Tuesday morning at the Football West headquarters in Maylands.

The two sides met in the NPL-WA last week, with Balcatta running out winners, but Coach Dale McCulloch’s side were missing a number of first team players on that day, and he’s looking forward to reserving the score in the cup. “We had our chances in the league game, but couldn’t take them, but we did have some players away with other commitments, and will want to put that right in the cup,” he said. “Having said that, Balcatta played well on the day and will be tough, but I know if we play near our best we can go into the semi-final.”

“It’s great to have another home game, and like I’ve said before we fancy our chances against anyone on our patch, and it’s also good for the clubs coffers.”

The quarter finals are all NPL-WA ties, and in other games, Inglewood United host cup holders Bayswater City at the Intiga Stadium, Stirling Lions and Floreat Athena meet at Macedonia Park, while Subiaco AFC and Cockburn City do battle at the WA Athletics Stadium.
