It was a fantastic weekend for ECU Joondalup with the Under 12’s and the Under 15’s winning their respective Premier League Titles.

John Higgins Snr was delighted the way his side has played all season. “The boys have done really well, and most have been at the club since under 9’s,  and this is the progression by not changing squads to much considering we have seven under 11s in squad they have done extremely well,” said Higgins.

“We won the cup as well, but it’s not all about winning but well done boys!!  A 6-0 win against Westside at Prince Regent Park secured the title, beating Perth SC by eight points. They now head into the Finals, which starts on Sunday when they take on Balcatta at Beale Park in Spearwood with a 12.10pm kick off.

Mark Windeatt’s under 15’s edged out rivals Perth SC by three points to take the title. A 4-0 win at home against East Fremantle secured the title. “We’ve had fantastic season winning cup and league, and have played some fantastic football,” said Windeatt.

“We have some good potential coming through for the 18’s and we’ve played with bare 11 for most of season, including beating Quinn’s and Perth with 10 men. Now the boys are looking to win top four cup and complete treble.” There Finals also start on Sunday at Beale Park, when they also face Balcatta kicking off at 1.20pm.

The Under 13’s Premier side finished in third place on the table and meets Fremantle United at Grindleford Reserve in their Finals on Sunday 9-40 am kick off. The Under 14’s Premier side also finished third and meet Sorrento at Raphael Park in Victoria Park in their Finals on Sunday 1.30pm

Well done to all the boys – and get along and support the youngsters!!!!!
