ECU Joondalup entertains Inglewood United at the ECU Arena on Saturday in week 11 of the All Flags Premier League.(3pm)

Joondalup Coach Salv Todaro will be looking for an improvement from last week’s 2-0 defeat at Perth. “As we approach the half way mark of the season Saturday’s game is going to prove a pivotal point in the season for both teams,” said Todaro.

“A win is a must for both teams as anything else will relegate the rest of the reason to a battle to try and make the top five, so this afternoon’s game is going to be very intriguing. Both teams are coming off losses last week and will be desperate to make amends.

“The last couple of weeks have been very disappointing for us and after a very positive heart to heart with the players we are ready to make amends for the insipid display that we produced last Sunday. The players need to stand up and start to perform as we all know they can.”

Inglewood arrive at The Arena in seventh spot on the table spot, only three points ahead of ECU, and are coming off a 2-1 home defeat against Stirling Lions last week.

Former Perth SC trio Luke Martino, Shaun Kilkelly and Craig Simpson anchor an intimidating defensive unit with the of creativity of Ryan Clarke, Alex Caniglia, Andrija Jukic and Robbie Gaspar sure to keep opposing sides on high alert as Inglewood push into the final third of the park, while Scottish import Danny Thomson, David Perich, Greg Sharland and Michael Baczynski add stability in the middle of the park.

Inglewood have only played three games away from the Intiga Stadium this season, a 2-1 defeat at Bayswater, a 2-2 draw at Sorrento and a 1-0 win at Bunbury.
