ECU Joondalup will be looking to end a seven game losing streak when they entertain Floreat Athena at the ECU Arena on Saturday (3pm)

Coach Dale McCulloch, although disappointed with the1-0 defeat last week against Cockburn City, he was pleased some aspects of the game. “I was disappointed in not getting a point last week, but in saying that there were many positives that I took out of the game. This week we have been working hard on the track to improve in certain areas of our game,” explained McCulloch.

Floreat are sitting in fifth spot on the tavle and McCulloch knows they will need to be at their bests to get a result. “Floreat are in the top five and are on a good run of form, so we all know we have to be at our best to get the three points. I believe in this side, as long as we keep working hard our fortunes will turn.”

In team news defender Ryan Lowry is out injured, after limping off last week with an ankle injury. The side is bolstered by new signing David Caine, the midfielder has signed from Western Knights.

Floreat are steadily building momentum and are currently sitting in fifth spot. At the back they have the 2012 ’Goalkeeper of the Year’ Brad Eiffe, behind defenders Bobby Wilson, Jack Allen, Cameron Yorke, Callum Fransz and Mark Walsh.

In the middle of the park skipper Mark Pritchard is joined by Ludovic Boi, Cisco Jorquera, and Adrian Caceres, while up front exciting youngster Benny Kouakou and David Heagney have formed a good partnership.  They arrive at The Arena in fifth spot, and are coming off a 2-2 draw with Stirling Lions last week.
