The ECU Joondalup under 18’s will play in the Top Five Grand Final on Saturday.

The top two teams in the league during the regular season, meet each other in the decider, with Perth SC going head to head with ECU Joondalup (10am).

ECU Joondalup Coach Mark Windeatt has been delighted with his young squad, and is looking to end the season on a high. “All the players have been outstanding this season, and we’ve had a completely new team from last season and they have performed well,” he said.

“It should be a great game on Saturday, and we will be looking to win the game and we will not be sitting back.” Skipper Jack Cairns holds the key in the middle of the park, while Paul David Luke Ninavich, Jack McMaster and Scott Robinson will vital if they are to win the game.

Perth have had the edge in meeting this season winning both games, but coach Gavin Tait is expecting a tough game. “It has been a good season, ourselves and Joondalup have been neck and neck all year,” he said.

“Everyone has contributed this season and they will all be important on the day to give us the best chance of success on Saturday.” Joel Bayubahe is the league’s leading scorer and will be important in the game, along with, Conor McKay, Daniel Tait, Matt Milenkovic and skipper Adrian Pizzata.
