ECU Joondalup have been drawn to play fellow Premier League side Stirling Lions, in the second round of the Cool Ridge Cup.

The draw was made on Thursday at the Football West headquarters in Maylands, and Coach Salv Todaro is looking forward to the game, although he was hoping for a home game. “I was hoping for a home game, or a local derby against Joondalup United,” joked Todaro. “We had an exciting encounter with Stirling early in the year, and it will be good to play against a team that tries to play football.

“Being the Cup anything is possible, so in the meantime we will be concentrating on getting some much needed results in the league.” The game will be played at Macedonia Park on Monday 3rd June with a 3pm kick off.

The full draw is: Armadale v Inglewood United – Alfred Skeet Oval, Floreat Athena v Sorrento – E&D Litis Stadium, Bayswater City v Gosnells City – Frank Drago Reserve, Quinns FC v Rockingham City – Gumblossom Park, Mandurah City v Maddington – Hyunadi Stadium, Stirling Lions v ECU Joondalup – Macedonia Park, Western Knights v Ashfield – Nash Field, Swan United v Joondalup United – Francis Street
