ECU Joondalup under 18’s were beaten 2-1 by Bayswater City in a hard fought game at Frank Drago Reserve on Sunday.

The home side hit the front early with Liam Turton scoring and they lead 1-0 at the break. Joondalup were back in the game early in the second half when the unfortunate Aaron Delaney scored an own goal, and Joondalup began to get on top.

But a poor back pass was seized upon by Charlie White and he finished well past Joel Driscoll to give Bayswater the victory. “We conceded early but came back strongly got back in the game early in second half and we got well on top but finishing and good defending from bayswater let us down,” said Coach Mark Windeatt.

“We then gifted them a goal with poor back pass but we dominated second half but guilty of missing clear cut chances, but saying that I was pleased with performance.”
