Perth SC v ECU Joondalup – Preview

Joondalup are on the road this weekend when they travel to Dorrien Gardens to take on last seasons’ All Flags State Premier Division winners Perth SC (3pm)

Buoyed by last week’s win they know three points will make the safe at the foot of the table but Coach Salv Todaro knows it will be a tough encounter, but one he and the players are looking forward to. “We have another “grand Final’ this week as we head to Dorrien Gardens to play Perth, in what is a must win game for both teams. Perth are just hanging in the top five, after their loss to Balcatta last week and they need to win to keep their top five hopes alive. We have to be at the top of our game to deal with their backlash as we strive to get results to keep our distance from the bottom of the ladder,’ said Todaro.

On the injury front there are injury clouds over all the strikers, Dave Foster who have a corked thigh, John Thornley has been struck down with a re-occurrence of his osteo-pubis and Tanner Selyer, who has a minor Achilles concern, but the club are hopeful two out of the three will be available. Mark Tebbut and Dale McCulloch both have niggle’s but should be ready.

Perth welcome back Robbie Sciascia to the squad while David Onoforo, Matt Danskin and Daniel Niederberger will be looking for a starting role after all coming off the bench last week.
