ECU Joondalup entertains Armadale Soccer Club in week 11 of the All Flags Premier Division at the ECU Arena on Saturday (3pm)

It’s a huge game for both clubs and Coach Salv Todaro hopes to continue where they left off last week against The Knights. “Our performance last week was four weeks in the making, we have been threatening to put it all together for a while now. The finishing last week was a joy to watch and was topped off with another blinder by a David Foster 30 metre screamer. But let’s not forget our defensive side of our game which I thought was very good, and the boys at the back were able to snuff out any danger that the Knights were able to place upon us. Remembering that the Knights were also desperate for points,’ said Todaro.

The coach is well aware of the form The reds bring to the Arena, but he is confident they can get the right result. “Armadale have been in some good form of late and will be looking to build on their good work. They will need to wait to next week to continue their good form as we are in no mood to do them any favours on Saturday as this game has the old fashion 6 pointer tag associated with it and we intend to build on what we have started.”

In team news John Thornley’s move from Balcatta has been cleared and the big striker will come into the squad against one of his former clubs.

Armadale have been on a good run of form losing only once in their last five games, and they arrive at the Arena after a stunning 3-1 win against League Leaders Perth SC last week. The new-look line-up will look towards experienced Cyril Sharrock, who is the only player from last season’s squad, while at the back American import Nick Viaggio and English import Mark McClements have performed well in recent weeks, along with Sam Loveless. Josh Maddison.

Jason Pottier hold tight the midfield, down the flanks they have Joey Tavernese and Tom Biss, while up front Alan Darlington, Raveshlan Kuppusamy and Darren Francis lead the search for goals.

It should be an entertaining game so get down and support the lads!!!!
