ECU will be looking for some pride when they host league leaders Bayswater City at the ECU Arena on Saturday (3pm)

It was a bad day for the club last week at Floreat, and Coach Salv Todaro knows that and is expecting a response from the players tomorrow. “The last couple of weeks have been extremely disappointing and on behalf of the playing group I would like to apologise to our president, committee members and our fans for the insipid performance of the team. As a group we have had a number of discussions and we are determined to improve and keep fighting for our survival,” said Todaro.

“At times like this we need the support of our fans and I ask you to get behind the team and help us strive for that extra effort that will help us get over the line.”

In team news Scott Bushby and Nick Tatasciore will be missing due to suspension, so Tommy Jones and Billy Quinncroft will come into contention for a starting role.

Bayswater City coach Mauro Marchione has added some talented players to his squad, with John Kearney, Paul McCarthy, Ross Cosgrave, Patrick Quinn and goalkeeper Tom Dixon to name a few.

Colombian striker Gustavo Giron-Marulanda will again be the focal point in attack with big roles also awaiting Gustavo Catarcione, Cisco Jorquera and Andy Reale.  They arrive at The Arena on top of the table, and after thrashing Perth SC 4-0 last week.
