ECU Joondalup are on the road this weekend when they take on Bayswater City at Frank Drago Reserve on Saturday (2pm)

The game has been brought forward one hour due to the Perth Glory home final and the side will be looking for their first points of the season against a strong City side.

The side battled hard last week and almost nicked a point near the end against Floreat Athena, and keeper Andy Banks is looking for the same fighting spirit on Saturday. “We almost stole a point last week, and we did hit the bar in the final minute last week, but it would of been unfair on Floreat who dominated long periods of the game, but we would take anything at the moment, we just need to keep positive,” said Banks.

“This weekend is another tough game for us at Bayswater, but we went there last year and got a result. We will have to be on are guard because they have a few quick boys upfront, but I’m sure the side will lift with new Coach Salv Todaro waiting in the wings.”

Bayswater City will be full of confidence heading into their clash against ECU Joondalup at Frank Drago Reserve after a stunning win against Perth SC last week. Gustavo Giron-Marulanda, a hat-trick last week, and Cisco Jorquera have been excellent for City in recent weeks, while in the middle of the park John Kearney and Paul McCarthy will need to be closed down.

It should be an entertaining game get along and support the lads – Under 18’s kick off at 10am, the reserves at 12 noon, with the main game at 2pm
