ECU Joondalup will be looking to end a four games losing streak when they entertain Stirling Lions at the ECU Arena in round 22 of the All Flags Premier League on Saturday (3pm)

Coach Syd Amphlett will be looking for a repeat of the result the last time the Lions visited The Arena, when they ran out 3-0 winners, but he knows they will have to improve in front of goal. “Last week at Mandurah City was again very frustrating for all concerned, as we dominated most of the game but failed to convert our chances,” said Amphlett.

“The player’s attitude has again been fantastic, so hopefully they will be rewarded for their hard work on Saturday. We have Chris Wylie and Ryan Lowry suspended, which means the team has to be changed yet again.”

Striker Tommy Jones knows the importance of the game and is looking forward to the challenge. “It’s a massive for us on Saturday, we know as a player group that the pressure is on. I believe a point from the last three games should be enough, but you never know what Mandurah will do, so three points this weekend is needed,” said Jones.

The Lions have attracted a number of quality players over the summer, with former ECU duo Jamie Watt and Phil O’Callaghan moving to Macedonia Park and are both in good form heading back to the Arena.

Ex-Middlesbrough player Jason Gavin and Michael Pugliese anchor the backline along with former Notts County defender Bobby Wilson and former Perth Glory Youth player Clayton Arnez. In the middle of the park Ludovic Boi is instrumental, but they will be without Andy Brown this week due to suspended. In goal is evergreen keeper Cory Hugo, who has added stability, while down the flanks Robert Lujan and Jamie de Abreu will need to be closed down.

It should be a great game get along and support ECU to victory !!!!!
