Under 12’s Continue Good Form

Sunday 3rd June – ECU  5-0  Bayswater
ECU under 12’s comfortably defeated Bayswater in the under 12’s premier league clash at ECU arena. The home side had all the early pressure but could not take advantage of a series of crosses and possession around their opponents penalty box. Most of the danger was on the right flank where full back Tyler Uglow (right in action), was able to get into good forward positions and started many attacks for his forwards and midfield players.

It was from the right that ECU scored their first goal when Harley Curran crossed, the Bayswater goalkeeper misjudged the flight of the ball and it sailed over his head to give the home side a deserved lead. Soon after it was 2-0, from a Harley cross, James Lawless was able to bundle the ball over the line. Kieron Craig then powerfully shot and the goalkeeper made a fine low save and then Oliver Ford played in Harley but he pulled his shot just wide. Shortly before the break it was 3-0, Kieron crossed, again from the right and the away keeper palmed the ball into his own goal.

Half Time – ECU  3-0  Bayswater

The second half had a similar pattern to the first with most of the game being played in the Bayswater half with the away team breaking occasionally but not really creating anything. ECU were then awarded a dubious penalty when Kieran Coyne was adjudged to have been fouled, up stepped Harley to make it 4-0. The home side were camped almost permanently in the Bayswater half, Harley hit the bar with a powerful shot followed shortly after by Declan Hudson hitting the post with a good strike. Five minutes from time it was 5-0, James found Declan on the left, he went passed the full back and scored with a shot which took a slight deflection.

Full Time – ECU  5-0  Bayswater

Another good result for the boys as they gradually climb the premier league table. They are looking forward to their local derby cup clash next week against Westside.
