Under 11’s Continue Their Good Form

Sunday 15th May – ECU  5-1  Perth SC
ECU under 11’s continued their good form of recent weeks with an impressive 5-1 victory over Perth SC. The visitors started well and Kyle McDonald make a fine save from a Perth forward, the game was fairly even with both sides creating half chances. ECU took the lead on 12 minutes when Liam Hudson finished well after a good through ball by Brad Jordan to notch his first ever goal for the club following his twin brother’s first ever goal the previous week. It was soon 2-0 when Oliver Ford won the ball on the edge of the visitors penalty area and played in Luke Antonio to confidently score.

Soon after the re start it was 3-0 when Perth could only half clear an ECU corner to Declan Hudson who passed to James Lawless to volley home. The home team now started to play the brand of football they have showed lately and stretched their lead when Kieran Craig found Liam with a superb pass and he finished well passed the goalkeeper.

The home team then created a series a good chances, hit the post and generally had Perth on the back foot so it was a surprise when Perth broke away, the home team were over stretched and Perth scored a soft goal to reduce the deficit to 1-4.

Just before the final whistle, James was fouled inside the penalty area and Kieran Craig converted the penalty with ease to make the final score 5-1 to ECU.

A mention must go both full backs Louie Robinson and Tyler Uglow who both were solid in the home defence and both managed to get forward to support the ECU attacks as well.

Another confident display by the boys, who are just behind the league leaders Bayswater, who they play at home, in their next match on Sunday 5th June, they have a bye this coming weekend.
